Couples Therapy
I believe that connection, and love is part of what makes us intrinsically human. Healing, growth, and creation happen when we connect deeply with one another. My therapeutic style is warm, relational, and firm. My approach to treating couples is influenced by Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Somatic Psychology, and parts work.
I support couples in:
Navigating life’s challenges
Forming secure attachments
Building strong, healthy relationships
Repairing ruptures after conflict or infidelity
Supporting a partner with physical or chronic health conditions
Exploring family history, relational dynamics, and past traumas
Conscious coupling or decoupling
PMDD Partners
Working through intimacy issues
Having a more fulfilling sex life
How To Get Started
STEP 1
To start, let’s talk on the phone for 15-20 minutes. You can tell me a little bit about what’s bringing you and your partner to couples therapy, and I can answer any questions you may have about me or my services.
STEP 2
Next, we will schedule a first session. I like to think of the first three sessions as a trial period. This gives us a chance to get to know each other to see if it feels like a good fit, and for you to get a taste of my therapy style and how I work.
STEP 3
After three sessions we will check in. When we decide to work together, we will discuss your goals and how therapy can best support you in reaching them. It will be a collaborative process and will look different for every individual client.
For you to get the most out of your therapy experience it’s important to remember, that building a strong therapeutic relationship takes time. I prefer to see my clients once a week or more if needed.
